The Science:

Infrared is a part of the spectrum of natural light that displaces heat. It is invisible, but can be felt as heat. Unlike UV light, its wavelengths are harmless to the skin or scalp. This form of energy, also known as electromagnetism, is different from other forms of heat such as conduction (using direct contact) or convection (indirect heat transfer via liquid, gas or air).
